• For XL Prime controllers, BACnet IP and BACnet MS/TP are standard; a license is not needed.
• The HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning) and building automation industries are the primary users of the BACnet data transfer protocol.
• The protocol enables communication between an industrial controller and components including air conditioners, pumps, and ventilation systems.
• This creates “intelligent” houses with a high degree of automation.
