Basic design features:
- The stator, main poles, and interpoles are all completely laminated.
- The low induced voltage is due to the armature's well-proportioned length-to-diameter ratio.
- Low bar-to-bar voltage ensures proper commutation.

- NDE spigots and stub shafts are standard, accepting adaptors for all well-known tachometer and pulse generator brands.
