Optical fiber modules:

  • The LW213 and LW214 fiber optic modules work together to provide an optical transmission system that transmits incremental sensor or encoder signals across an optical waveguide.
  • Any other source with RS422 or push-pull HTL levels (such as incremental length measuring devices, glass scales, etc.) can have its differential signals connected.
  • The transmitter and receiver modules each contain four entirely independent channels with differential inputs and outputs.
  • Signals can be transmitted across all four channels at a maximum data rate of 2 Mbit/s.
  • The component designated LW213 functions as a transmission module for light wave transmission up to 3000 meters.
  • It converts incremental signals from conventional sensors, measurement devices, and rotary encoders into optical fiber signals.
