• Spark quenchers are made of resistors and capacitors that have been properly constructed and connected in series.
• The accumulation feature and impedance of the capacitor absorb spark discharges and induced noise over a broad range, while the RC time constant delays and averages surge voltage and oscillations.
• Installing the Spark Quenchers across the load, such as a motor contactor coil, or across the output contacts that switch the load, such as XLe OCS relay contacts, are two possible configurations.
