Optical Fiber (Receiver-)Module with Incremental Output LW216
Optic fibre modules:
- The optical transmission modules LW215 and LW216 work together to form a system for transmitting industrial signals reliably and rapidly via an optical fibre.
- Like the send module, the receive module has four independent channels with differential inputs and outputs.
- Signals with a maximum data rate of 2 Mbit/sec can be transmitted on all four channels.
- These LW modules have technological features for transmitting signals from incremental encoders, measuring systems, and sensors.
- However, differential signals from any other source with RS422 or push-pull HTL levels can be connected.
- The receiver module LW216 converts the optical signals transmitted by the transmitter over a fibre optic line up to 2000 meters back into the original incremental signals, whereby the output levels can be executed in the HTL or RS422 format depending on the order.
- The conversion time between the send module and the receive module's output is less than 300 ns.
Optical fibre (receiver-) module with incremental output:
- 4 independent input channels in the format A, B, C, D [HTL] or A, /A, B, /B, C, /C, D, /D [RS422] are also available for a single channel.
- 4 output channels in the following formats: A, /A, B, /B, C, /C, D, /D [RS422] or A, B, C, D, /D [HTL].
- Input frequency maximum: 1 MHz.
- Very short conversion time: < 300 ns.
- Optical wavelength: 850 nm.
- Transmission distance up to 2000 meters.
- Power supply: 5 VDC (for LW216).
- Power supply: 10–30 VDC (for LW216-1, LW216-2).
- Snap-on housing for the top hat rail (EN 60715).
- Pre-configured optical fibres are available.
