Optical Fibre (Receive-) Module for SSI-Signals LW218
Optic fibre modules:
- The optical fibre module LW218 is the transmission system's receiving module for the optical transmission of industrial signal data via an optical fibre.
- The LW receiver converts the optical signals transmitted from the transmitter module to the receiver via a fibre-optic line of up to 2000 meters in length back into the original SSI format.
- As a result, the output absolute SSI data corresponds to the signal or absolute value that was originally applied at the transmitter module's input.
- The conversion time between the input (transmitter) and the output (receiver) is less than 300 ns.
Optical Fibre (Receive-) Module for SSI-Signals:
- 1 SSI input/output channel [RS422] with the format DATA+, DATA-, CLOCK+, CLOCK-.
- 1 open-drain output (LW218).
- Input frequency maximum: 1 MHz.
- Very short conversion time: < 300 ns.
- Optical wavelength: 1300 nm.
- Transmission distance up to 2000 meters.
- Power supply: 5 VDC (LW218).
- Power supply: 10–30 VDC (for LW218-1).
- Free, adjustable SSI resolution ranging from 1 to 99 bits.
- Snap-on housing for the top hat rail (EN 60715).
- Glass fibre cables are available, ready-assembled.
