Power supply units and I/O interfaces CX1100-0001
The power supply offers important features: An integrated NOVRAM allows the voltage-failure-proof storage of process data, an LC display with two lines of 16 characters each is used for the output of system and user messages. The possibility of connecting Bus Terminals and Fieldbus Box modules creates a controller with a highly variable, expandable I/O level with a wide variety of signals. The I/O data are stored in a DPRAM, which is accessible to the CPU via the system bus. The power supply of all other system components is ensured via the internal PC/104 bus; no separate supply lines are required. The power supplies of the CX system are field replaceable. In addition to the power supply, the CX1100-0001 provides the three basic functions display, navigation switch and NOVRAM. It does not contain an I/O connector.
