The 1756-CMS1B1 is a ControlLogix slot-based compute module that allows you to run custom applications and third-party software directly within a ControlLogix chassis.
It has an Intel Atom dual-core CPU, 32 GB of solid-state storage, and a Linux-based operating system, allowing developers to use advanced analytics, edge computing, or bespoke logic with normal PLC control.
This module interfaces directly with ControlLogix 5570 or 5580 controllers via the system backplane and offers high-speed networking via dual Gigabit Ethernet connections, a USB 3.0 port, and a DisplayPort for attaching high-definition monitors.
