The 1756-HSC is a ControlLogix-specific high-speed counter module that counts pulses and measures frequency from fast-moving devices like encoders, proximity switches, and pulse generators.
It works independently of the controller's scan time, making it perfect for applications that require precise, real-time counting and control.
This clever I/O module has two counters, each with three inputs (A, B, and Z), and four high-speed digital outputs.
It can be set to counter, rate measurement, or encoder mode, and it has ON/OFF windows and rotating position sensing.
The module's outputs can be activated directly by input events, avoiding controller delays.
