The 1756-IA16 is a 16-point digital input module for the ControlLogix platform that is intended to communicate with field devices that operate at 120V AC.
It reads the ON/OFF status of devices like push buttons, limit switches, and sensors and sends that information to the ControlLogix controller.
Each input channel is independently isolated, which improves noise immunity and protection in electrically noisy conditions.
