Description:
The 1756-IB16 is a 16-point digital input module designed for 12/24V DC sinking inputs on the ControlLogix® platform.
It communicates with field devices such as sensors, switches, and other binary input sources, converting their ON/OFF signals to logic-level data for the controller.
This module is suited for fast and dependable input detection in industrial automation systems.
It features change-of-state detection, timestamping, and software-configurable filtering, making it ideal for applications that require accurate event tracking and noise immunity.
Each input is divided into two groups of eight, and the module supports hot-swapping, which allows for replacement without requiring a system shutdown.
It works flawlessly with Studio 5000 Logix Designer software and fits into any slot on a ControlLogix chassis.
