Description:
The 1756-IF8IHK is a high-performance analog input module from the ControlLogix family that includes 8 isolated differential current input channels with HART connectivity.
Each channel has its own dedicated HART modem, enabling for simultaneous analog measurement and digital connection with smart field devices—perfect for process automation systems that require precision, diagnostics, and flexibility.
This module accepts 0-20 mA and 4-20 mA inputs with 16 to 21-bit resolution, ensuring reliable signal acquisition.
It is a HART master that is compatible with HART revisions 5, 6, and 7, and can support one HART device per channel.
It does not support burst mode, PSK, or multi-drop configurations, but it will detect and disable bursting devices automatically.
The suffix "K" denotes conformal coating, which protects the module's internal circuitry from moisture, dust, and corrosive chemicals, making it appropriate for severe settings such as offshore platforms, chemical plants, and food processing facilities.
