The 1756-L7SP is a safety partner module that works with GuardLogix controllers such as the 1756-L7xS series (1756-L73S, 1756-L75S).
It supports SIL 3 / PLe safety control, allowing customers to implement both integrated safety and standard control in a single ControlLogix chassis.
This module collaborates with its primary controller to perform safety activities autonomously, assuring compliance with functional safety standards.
It cannot function as an independent controller; it must be put next to its partnered GuardLogix processor.
