The GT2 40-tooth timing pulley is a precision aluminium gear made for GT2 belts (2 mm pitch, usually 6 mm wide).
The 6mm bore accommodates larger motor shafts than the normal 5mm bore, making it ideal for NEMA 23 stepper motors and other heavy-duty applications.
The 40-tooth design offers faster belt travel per rotation (~80mm) and smoother motion, but reduces torque compared to smaller pulleys.
