The KY-039 Heartbeat Sensor Module is a small optical pulse sensor ideal for Arduino and other microcontroller projects.
It detects changes in light transmission through a fingertip induced by blood volume fluctuations with each heartbeat.
The resultant signal can be used by a microcontroller to calculate heart rate and monitor pulse activity.
