Description: A Solar Drive is a fully automated Solar Water Pumping Solution that protects and controls the pump while using the sun's free power to produce water at a low cost in places with limited or no access to electricity. In addition, the Solar Drive has several important VSD functions for motor protection, including overvoltage, undervoltage, phase imbalance, phase loss, and overcurrent. This solar-powered approach also has the added benefit of removing the potential voltage drop over long lengths of electrical cable between the AC supply and the motor (as well as the cost and risk of cable theft).
