The EX-Z series' extraordinary thinness of 3mm was achieved by adopting a new semiconductor packaging process that does not rely on wire bonding.
The compact unit size enables sensor installation in tight spaces where before only a traditional fibre sensor head could be mounted.
In contrast to a fibre sensor, the EX-Z contains a built-in amplifier, which saves installation space.
