Description: MAT - Spark Quencher &lt;0.1A Loads. XL Series Signal Conditioner, most often used with the XLe. Spark quenchers are made of resistors and capacitors that have been properly constructed and connected in series. The accumulation feature and impedance of the capacitor absorb spark discharges and induced noise over a broad range, while the RC time constant delays and averages surge voltage and oscillations. Installing the Spark Quenchers across the load, such as a motor contactor coil, or across the output contacts that switch the load, such as XLe OCS relay contacts, are two possible configurations.
