The speed, angular position, and position of the zero pulse.
Phase shift between K1 (A) and K2 (B).
The pulse/pause ratio of K1 (A) and K2 (B).
The voltage range for the encoder output signals.
The encoder's supply voltage and current are measured, and the power consumption is estimated using these numbers.

Encoder Tester:
The Hübner Encoder Quality Measurement System HENQ1100 is a handheld device for testing incremental encoders that produce HTL/TTL or sin/cos signals.
Fast signal processing also makes it easier to detect intermittent problems, such as interference in signal lines or short voltage drop-outs in the power supply.
The angular position and speed are also presented continually.
In addition to Hübner incremental encoders, encoders from other manufacturers that output TTL/HTL, or sin/cos signals can be connected.
The encoder receives power from either an external source or the HENQ1100.
Therefore, the encoder can be used independently, unplugged from the power source, or linked to an already-operating system.
The instrument is operated using the built-in user-friendly keyboard and a four-line LCD with background lighting.
Evaluation of measurements obtained from several encoders is made attainable by the memory.
User-defined profiles can be used to program different thresholds as parameters, such as:
Allowable phase deviation.
Permissible pulse/pause ratio.
Errors are indicated not just physically, through the LCD, but also audibly, via a built-in buzzer.
The HENQ1100 can optionally be equipped with an accumulator (12 V block accumulator with integrated charging circuitry) that enables it to operate for up to 5 hours without an electrical supply.
In accumulator mode, the encoder can still be supplied from the HENQ 1100.
