DSM324 Motion Controller

Description: The IC694DSM324 is a motion controller module designed for the PAC System RX3i Programmable Automation Controller Platform. This module has four (4) motion control axes and supports two (2) control modes: standard mode (with follower loop disabled) and follower mode (with follower control loop enabled). This module also has 5 MS Block Processing capabilities, velocity feeds forward, a position error integrator, and integrated non-volatile storage for 10 motion programs and 40 subroutines. In addition, this module has upgradeable firmware that may be adjusted to optimize module revisions and upgrades. installed straight onto the RX3i backplane of a PAC system. It is suitable for installation on a CPU rack or main backplane, as well as an expansion or remote rack. Specifically, up to 5 installations are permitted on the main rack if installed with PWR040; up to 2 instances if installed on an expansion or remote backplane with PWR32 Power Supply; six (6) modules on a remote backplane with power supply modules PWR330 or PWR331; or six (6) IC694DSM324 installations on an expansion backplane using PWR330 or PWR331. It has built-in electronic CAM capability, home and overtravel switch inputs for each axis, 5V and 24 VDC analog I/O for PLC integration, an individual incremental encoder interface on each axis, a 13-bit analog output that can be controlled by a PLC or fine-tuned with a digital servo, and a high-speed digital output. Numerous status LED indications, including FSSB, OK, CONFIG, STATUS, and 1/2/3/4 LED indicators, are available on this module.
