The MC1458cpi is a 4-bit magnitude comparator that compares two 4-bit binary words to determine whether they are greater than, less than, or equal to each other.
It is built with complementary MOS (CMOS) technology, resulting in low power consumption and great noise tolerance.
The MC1458cpi is intended to compare two 4-bit words and find magnitude connections.
It returns three output states indicating whether the first word (A) is less than, equal to, or greater than the second word (B).
The IC can be cascaded to compare bigger words, making it ideal for use in digital systems, instrumentation, test equipment, and control systems.
