The TC4424 are higher-output current variants of the new TC4426/4427/4428 buffer/gate drivers, which are themselves better versions of the TC426/427/428 series.
Pin compatibility exists for all three families.
Compared to their predecessors, the TC4424 drivers can provide dependable service in far more demanding electrical settings.
The TC4424 gate drivers are primarily designed to drive power MOSFETs, but they can also be used to drive any other load, whether it be inductive, resistive, or capacitive, that needs a low-impedance driver with high peak currents and quick switching times.
For instance, the TC4424 can be used to operate piezoelectric transducers, coaxial cables, and heavily laden clock lines.
The sole known restriction on loading is that the driver's overall power dissipation must not exceed the package's maximum power dissipation restrictions.
