In the avalanche and commutation modes, this extremely high-density technology is specifically designed to decrease on-state resistance, offer excellent switching performance, and withstand high energy pulses.
These devices are especially well suited for low voltage applications, where quick switching, minimal in-line power loss, and transient resistance are required.
Examples of these applications include automotive, DC/DC converters, PWM motor controllers, and other battery-powered circuits.
