The master/slave concept does not exist in the Lon Works Network, and Lon Talk is the protocol used by all network nodes (devices) for communicating with one another. Standard Network Variable Type (SNVT) provided by Lon Works and the iS7 Lon Works communication card both use Standard Network Variable Type to provide this independence. All network variables are divided into input and output variables.
